Pinatubo trekking is open all year round even during Rainy season. Trekking during rainy season is weather dependent.
Please note that ONLY THE FIRST 400 guests [ with Tour Reservation/4x4 Jeep Reservation among accredited Pinatubo Organizers ] will be allowed to trek Pinatubo per day during the PEAK SEASON of 3rd week October to June. Those who have no reservation and arranged tour with accredited organizers can still come BUT will be put on a wait lists/chance passenger if there will be any 4×4 jeep left for them to use.
*** SHORT TREK- defined as how far the 4×4 jeep can reach a certain area nearest to the base of the Pinatubo. It is not a 30 minutes trek or hike as many had assumed. Short trek can only be determined once at the LIPIT/GMA Area already if the trails are passable for the 4×4 jeep.
*** LONG TREK- defined as 2-2.5 hours hike excluding the 1.5 hours 4×4 jeep bumpy ride. The hike depends on the pacin of the guest and includes all the stop over for picture taking and rest along the way.

How Do you Get Here?
From Manila, take any bus bound to North Luzon ( Baguio, Urdaneta, Dagupan,Tarlac,Vigan ) in Cubao, Pasay, Avenida, Caloocan. Travel time from Manila to Capas is 2 to 2.5 hours.
From Any Part of North Luzon, take any bus bound to Manila.
Take the bus with NO VIA SCTEX sign,bus with VIA SCTEX sign will bypass Capas, Tarlac which is the gateway to Mount Pinatubo.Travel time is from 3 to 8 hours depending on your point of origin.
Get your bus ticket until Capas only. Ask the driver to drop you infront of McDonald's Capas. Once in Capas, please text or call me +639326094226 or +639186021943. Or you can take the tricycle infront of McDonald's Capas and ask the tricycle driver to bring you to Sta. Juliana. The tricycle driver can assist you by telling him to bring you to SONIA BOGNOT.

From Clark Airport take a jeepney going Clark Main gate.
From Clark Main Gate, Take a jeepney until Dau. Go to Dau Bus Terminal.
From Dau Bus Terminal, Take any bus bound to North Luzon
( Tarlac, Baguio,Urdaneta, Dagupan, Vigan etc. ) that will pass by Capas. Get your bus ticket until Capas only and ask the driver to drop you infront of McDonald's.
Once you are in Capas, you will be fetched or picked up if you have an arranged transfer with us.
What Are The Requirements In Going To Mount Pinatubo?
For both local and foreign visitors, just register. No passports needed to show.
What To Bring During The Trek ?
- Sunblock cream or sunscreen
- Band aid ( in case you get lacerated ),personal medicines, bandage
- Hat/cap/turban
- Mosquito repellant lotion
- Extra snacks ( water, sandwich,fruits etc. )
- Wear comfortable clothes and footwear. Open trek shoes with straps are better. Rubber shoes are only good in dry areas.River streams and rocky areas will be the trails.
- Socks-prevent blisters
- Extra clothes and towel
- Swim wear- if going hotspring. No swimming at the crater lake
- Toiletries
- Camera and extra battery
- Walking stick
If We Have No Arranged Overnight Accommodation Prior to the Trekking, what time we should arrive?
We all meet at a certain venue as advised or at the jump off area in Sta. Juliana. Make sure all MUST be at the announced venue at 6:15 to 6:30 AM ( Peak season) /7:30 AM ( Off Season ). We will all then proceed to the Registration site and get registered on or before 7:00 AM / 8:00 AM.
All visitors are mandated to register. We handle all registration of our guests. You only have to sign the papers.

Upon signing all the necessary papers, a 4x4 jeep and a local trail guide will be provided for the group. Your travel time to the trek point is 1 hour to 1.5 hours bumpy 4x4 jeep ride.
You will be crossing the O'Donnell River. This is a huge river, the catch- basin of all the water coming from the mountains. Trekking is not allowed during heavy rain and when there is a military exercise in the area, cut-off time at the registration site is strictly at 7:00 AM. You have to trek the following day if you missed to get registered or leave for the trek before 7:00 AM. It is important that your local operator will inform you if there is a military exercise. Also, you will be advised by us, in weather is not favorable to trek before or on the day of your trek before 3:00 Am before you enroute to Capas.Maximum number of trekkers allowed per day is 400 persons and only those with reservations or arranged Pinatubo Tour with Pinatubo Accredited Organizers will be prioritized and will be allowed to trek DURING PEAK SEASON. Walk-in guests will be put on a wait list if there will still be available 4x4 jeeps left. It is advisable therefore, to have your tour arranged prior to your trek especially during PEAK SEASON.( as of June 2012 Capas 4x4 Wheelers Association )

This is the Aeta Village along the SKYWAY(NOT PASSABLE TO DATE ). You may share your foods. Take pictures with them. Buy souveneir native necklaces from them. This is the start of Trek Point, if your route is via SKYWAY or

If the SKYWAY is not available, this is your trek point, crossing river streams. You will trek for 2 hours to the Drop Point area at the foot of Mt. Pinatubo.
This is the point that wearing comfortable shoes like open trek shoes with straps are at the advantage, since you don't have to remove them every time you cross river streams.

The lahar canyons area you have to trek.DRY AREAS.
If you can bring both a rubber shoes and Open trek shoes or comfortable, durable and non-slippery slippers, it will help a lot.
